To paint is
for me, among other things, a kind of self-exploration and the
exploration of my creative possibilities. In my work I use mixed
techniques, such as collages, assemblages and oil paints, because I like
to work with my hands as an artisan does. Bright colors are regularly
succeeded by sober tints; a spontaneous way of painting is alternated by a
more introverted way of working. Different themes attract me, such as:
architecture in landscape, but much abstracted; the human being as such,
but especially the woman. I experience painting like sculpturing on a
flat surface, monumental and not disguised.
